New Look for Our Book Reviews!

BookReviewLogoRegular readers of MedHum Fiction | Daily Dose may have noticed that our book review feature has a new schedule and a new logo! In order to make space for an increase in feature posts on Mondays and Fridays, book reviews have been moved to a Wednesday schedule. Both fiction and nonfiction reviews will be posted most weeks on Wednesday morning.

In addition to the regular MF/DD team — Brandy Schillace, Anna Clutterbuck-Cook, Hanna Clutterbuck-Cook, and Hanna Sophie Frey — you will also hear from new voices as we integrate a new group of book reviewers beginning at the end of April. We are excited to welcome an international group of book reviewers from across the English-speaking world who will be writing for us.

Interested in joining us? Please check out our call for book reviewers and complete a book reviewer application.  We will reach out to you within two weeks to provide orientation information and touch base with you about possible review titles. Please note that we are currently scheduling reviews for summer/fall so it may be several months before new reviewers receive an assignment.

Have a specific title you wish to review? Include that title in your application, or reach out to our book review editor Anna Clutterbuck-Cook at if you would like to confirm that the title fits within our scope before completing an application. If a book is new (published within the last six months) or forthcoming, MH/DD will seek a review copy from the publisher for you; older titles will also be considered for review, but we cannot promise review copies of older works.

We look forward to sharing more, and more regular reviews of fiction and nonfiction works for you in the months ahead!
